When I was nine years old, my mom took me to England, France and Israel on a family trip. Since then, I’ve never been quite comfortable staying home. 60 countries and 7 continents later, I can say with confidence that my best job was my first one: travel writer for The New York Times, Men’s Journal, and National Geographic Adventure and Blue. A few years ago I swapped backpack for briefcase to work as a brand consultant for companies like Yahoo! and (naturally) Travel Channel. Most recently, I worked for the innovation consultant Fahrenheit 212 helping to invent new products and businesses for Samsung, NBC, Gucci, and Coca Cola. The inspiration for gliider came when I was planning a trip to Thailand last year: I came across a ton of great information on the web but lacked a good way to save and organize it. And I realized that like a lot of other passionate travelers, I enjoy thinking about trips almost as much I like taking them.
